GORDON, Huntley (1886-1956) - Inscription and Signature Canadian silent film actor, prolific throughout the 1920s and '30s; portrayed Joan Crawford's father in "Our Dancing Daughters" (1928) and Sir John Randolph in "Daniel Boone" (1935). Bold "Best of luck / from / Huntley Gordon / Sept. 16th 1930" in black fountain pen on a pristine pink 6" X 3 3/4" autograph album leaf, n.p. Near fine. No place indicated, but from the collection of noted collector Preston Sawyer (1899-1968), California journalist and historical writer, who obtained this in San Francisco. A handsome example. .
