[4], [9] - 66 pp. Frontis (depicting a scene from Act I, Scene II). 12mo: [A]2 B - F6 (-F6, presumed a blank). 20.5 cm x 12 cm. The wrapper is tattered & worn, otherwise the item is overall VG (with bit of soiling & 'thumbing' to the beginning & terminal leaves). An early popular title [which stayed in print through much of the Victorian period], and now a rare survivor, by this [then] renowned & prolific 19th C. English actor & dramatist, who later became manager of the Haymarket theatre. The title not listed in the NCBEL, and only 9 cc recorded on OCLC (per a 8/04 search). This copy inscribed by Buckstone at the top of the t.p.
