Spine with five raised, gilt-ornamented bands, compartments with blind embossed vignettes and brown morocco label with gilt title. Marbled edges, = First edition of this well-illustrated work on ferns. The plates are well-coloured. Some light foxing, as usual, a few plates with a marginal dampstain in the very lower margin. Title to second volume discarded, front board detached. Otherwise very good copy. Nissen BBI, 1244; Pritzel, 5643.
