Author was the Canon of Lichfield Cathedral, Professor at Kings College London and Principle of Lichfield Theological College. Bishop Selwyn was Bishop of New Zealand (and Melanesia) from 1841 to 1869. He then returned to Lichfield were he served as Bishop until his death. CONDITION Purple cloth with gilt titles, pp xiv 498 with portrait frontis and tissue guard, Bds marked with faded spine and wear to same, frontis portait has damp stain due to differnt paper type wicking, name to first blank, internally a nice clean and bright copy. Good.
