Speckled edges. = A rarely seen work, and a nicely bound copy, on the movements of plants and their causes - one of charles Darwin's favorite topics. No wonder that the author quotes Darwin's The power of movement in plants (1880). The author, Hermann Vöchting (1847-1917) was a German botanist and pharmacist. Spine faded from purple to light brown (gilt not affected). Internally a very good, clean and unmarked copy. Stafleu and Cowan, 16276.
