VG (square & tight/minor damage at base of spine resulting in loss to cloth/poi on ffep). Ownership signature of James Morgan, early 19th C. UVa student [1828, 1830-31]. Kater authored the chapter on Balances & Pendulums; Lardner responsible for all else.
