Washington, DC, United States National Museum, 1919. Thick 8vo (23.1 x 15.0 cm). 712 pp., 156 plates. Later half cloth over grained boards. Spine with gilt title. A major monograph with the inclusion of many poorly known species, quite a few described by the author. The plates show whole specimens and taxonomically important parts. Published in the Museum's Bulletin. Usually found in original wrappers and then often with the spine cover damaged, and the spine itself split because of its size and the difference in text and plate paper, but this is a well-bound copy without any defect. Rare in this excellent state.
