Very good. - Octavo, softcover bound in printed cream wraps with a circular copper- colored raised vignette on the front wrap bearing the publisher's name and the words "Exposition Universelle Internationale 1900". The wraps are darkened around the edges & lightly soiled. Title printed in red & black, 3 photogravures with printed tissue guards & 6 pages of text. There is occasional light soiling & the edges of the text pages are slightly darkened. Very good.

A sample of the first translation of what is considered in France to be the greatest work of Dumas pere, which deals with the crimes and debauchery of the Borgias and Savonorola's crusade against them. The sample is titled "The Borgias" on the front wrap. Very good .
