Esmé Scott-Stevensson wife of a Forestry Officer and conservationist, lived for many years in India. She and her husband travelled in remote areas, on elephants or ponies, sometimes on foot. They also travelled extensively in Burma and Borneo, and resided for some years in Nepal.
