Wallin, a distinguished Finnish orientalist who made several journeys to the Middle East in the 1840's and was the first European with knowledge of Arabic to explore the Arabian peninsula. Disguised as a learned Moslem sheikh he visited Mecca and Medina. This work comprises a collection of his letters and diary notes as well as a biography. (Included in "Sv.
