Originally published in 1926, uncoloured, Shepard coloured his own line illustrations for this edition. A bright clean near fine copy in publishers blue cloth with gilt stamped illustration of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin on front board. Spine lettered in gilt. In the original colour dustwrapper which has a few light marks but is still bright, and has a small amount of rubbing to the extremities. Colour map endpapers. Overall a very good copy of this classic. Uncommon in this 1973 first printing.
