The majority of the reproductions are monochromatic, with some also in black and white. Binders represented include, among others, Rose Adler, Paul Bonet, Georges Mercier, Georges Cretté, and René Kieffer, who published this set. Both volumes are bound in rose-colored wrappers, the front covers lettered in red and gilt and bearing a design of a ram's head in gilt. Spine of volume I split at lower hinge and with the paper curling along the tear, a condition that is perhaps not surprising for a six-pound book bound in paper. Some chipping to spine label on volume II, sunning to edges and spines of both volumes. Volume I very good or better, volume II about fine. Please notify before visiting to see a book.
