A tale of the late 18th Century, first published in 1889 a year before this edition. Blue covers with gilt lettering and simple decoration is rubbed at edges and light wear at the corners. Binding is sound but skewed and with paper beginning to crack over inner hinges. Darkened end-paperers with previous owner's name in ink (H A M Garnett Xmas 1892) and previous owner's bookplate (Ex Libris Emmeline Garnett) at the front. Clean pages. No dust-jacket.
