Brücke examined optical media, afterimages, stereoscopic vision, and the reflection of light from the backgrounds of the eyes of vertebrates; he also discovered the ciliary muscle named after him. His "Anatomical Description of the Human Eye (1847)" has become the standard anatomical - histological work for contemporary oculists. His research on luminence in animal eyes and his method of causing luminescence at will in the human eye created the foundation on which Helmholtz continued his work and which led to the invention of the ophthalmoscope in 1851 by the latter': Hirschberg para 1006: 'Dasselbe verdient die höchste Anerkennung, die ihm auch von den Zeitgenossen gewährt worden ist. (Er schrieb dieses Werk am 28sten Jahr) ... Die Beschreibung des Augapfels stellt den damaligen Zustand unseres Wissen da; ist kurz, dabei vollständig, eingehend und von gröszter Klarheit. ... Das Werk ist trotz der ungeheuren Zahl von Arbeiten aus der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Roestvlekjes, verzuring, waterschade, scheurtjes, stempels, defecten aan band en papier worden in de regel allemaal vermeld. Voorwaarden bij de verkoop volgens de richtlijnen opgesteld door NVvA en ILAB. Prijzen excl. btw [Nederland en Europa] en porto, behoudens houders van een BTW registratie nummmer. Porto tegen kostprijs. Normaalgesproken levering met factuur in het geval van bekende relaties, veelal wordt gevraagd de factuur bij vooruitbetaling te voldoen. Oudere stukken worden aangetekend en verzekerd verstuurd. Koeriersdiensten Fedex, DHL etc. mogelijk op verzoek, kosten voor de kopende partij. Boeken etc. blijven onvervreemdbaar eigendom van B.M.Israel BV antiquariaat totdat volledige betaling heeft plaatsgevonden. Retourzendingen en teruggave recht: binnen 14 dagen wanneer het artikel niet voldoet aan de verwachting of afwijkt van de beschrijving. Graag in dit geval uw bericht omtrent terugzending.
