First edition. An account of Nathorst's scientific explorations to the Arctic Ocean in 1898 and 1899. The first expedition went to Bear Island, Svalbard and King Karl's Land. The second went to Greenland in search of Andrée's balloon expedition but without any success. However they made important geographical and geological investigations and they reached and mapped Kejsar Frans Josefs Fjord and King Oscars Fjord. Hulth 157 & 163.
