The ‘Tetschner Library’ was confiscated by the Czechoslovak army during the occupation of Prague in 1933, and sold to antiquarians. Books from this library were purchased by Hans Peter Kraus in 1934. Kraus was the most successful rare book dealer in the second half of the 20th century. Book measures 18.5.x13.cm. Collation, [16],1121,[63] pp, woodcut printer's device on title, stamped armorial bookplate of Tetschner Library on verso of title page. Bound in period marble paper boards, paper title label. Covers heavily rubbed/worn, some loss of paper label, ink number on top board. Generally binding holding firm, in good condition. Internally, occasional early annotation, occasional light tanning, last couple of pages have some light staining, Pages in very good clean condition. A very nice copy. Very Good.
