London, J. Thane. 1791. Half Calf, Oblong Quarto. Book measures 33.5x27.cm. Collation, 4pp, 50 tinted plates, further 6 plates, each of six portraits of artists,text in English and French, interleaved with descriptive letterpress. Bound in period or early half calf, calf corners, marble boards, flat gilt bands, gilt tooling within compartments. Calf rubbed, worn on edges, hinges split, but boards still attached. although worn, still quite a nice period binding. Internally, some offsetting on text pages, illustrations in very good clean condition. A very nice copy. Very Good.
