Black boards backed with cream parchment with printed labels on the front cover & spine. The corners of the covers are slightly rubbed. The spine is darkened with its head & tail chipped. The contents are very good. First American edition. Printed and made in Great Britain at the Shakespeare Head Press Stratford-Upon-Avon. Included are two poems by Graham Greene--his first appearances in a book. There is also poetry by Harold Acton, Anthony Asquith, Lord David Cecil, A. L. Rowse and Katharine Monro. Some board edge wear, board rubbing wear, text block,endpapers front and rear show tanning. Rough copy, missing jacket. Previous owner's name and date 8-29-29 neatly to the ffep.
