Bruxelles, Librairie Polytechnique, (1839-41?). Cinque volumi (9x14 cm) contenenti 35 numeri, sette per ogni volume, della rivista politica e letteraria di satira diretta e compilata da Alphonse Karr fra il 1839 e il 1848. Qui sono riuniti i primi numeri di una edizione peraltro senza data perché pubblicati clandestinamente a Bruxelles, forse per evitare problemi con la censura in Francia. Bella legatura ottocentesca in mezza pelle ad angoli, dorso a nervi ornato e dorato con doppio tassello di titolo; piatti e risguardie in carta marmorizzata, tagli marmorizzati . Condizioni molto buone. "Alphonse Karr (Parigi, 24 novembre 1808 - Saint-Raphaël, 29 settembre 1890) è stato un giornalista, scrittore e aforista francese, noto per lo spiccato umorismo satirico che gli procurò anche molti nemici".
