Manifesto originale di 40x55 cm., stemma dei Savoia, capolettera xilografico. Datato 7 maggio 1706. Composto da due parti incollate in origine. Pieghe, strappi ai margini, ma conservazione nel complesso molto buona. “Sono purtroppo note le cause che nelle congiunture presenti ci obbligano a gravissime ed inevitabili spese, indirizzate alla conservazione del Paese... Noi, con l'aiuto delle potenze collegate, non fossimo preparati ad una valida difesa...”. Il re impone quindi una tassa del 6% “senza esenzioni” per preparare la difesa di Torino dall’attacco francese, che avverrà in effetti una settimana più tardi. Uno dei manifesti più importanti riguardanti l'assedio francese di Torino che durò fino al 7 settembre 1706. Molto raro.
