Green coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Five lectures that the author gave on the ruling of Jerusalem under the High-Priests during the period of 586 BCE to 70 CE. The book is showing age and use – please see photograph. Softening, rubbing and fraying of the back strip edges; with bumping and rubbing of the lower book edges. There are "creases to the front panel with staining, rubbing and marks to both front and rear panels. Tanning and foxing to the text block edges with age toning and a few foxing spots to the pages. Offset tanning and quite noticeable foxing to the end pages; foxing has also occurred to the first few and last few pages of the book. Previous owners name to the top right hand corner of the free front end page, top left hand corner of the front pastedown and top right hand corner of the rear pace type and down.
