- A Happy New Year, 1879 Circular Cardboard Piece. Frank S. Smith and Edwin Morton Names Present

Boston, J.A. Lowell and Co, 1879. Unbound. no date, circa 1879. A single piece of thin cardboard, being a circle measuring 3 ½ inches in diameter. A very ornate New Year greeting piece, perhaps a trade card of some sort, although we could find no businesses mentioning both gentlemen. Text on the bottom indicates a patent was applied for, perhaps for this shape. It appears this circle may have been attached to something else at the bottom, as if this were some sort of tree topper. With intricate geometrical patterns reminiscent of the Art Deco aesthetic. GOOD condition. A few small spots of staining to the front. Minor general toning. Reverse (which is blank) with some dark scuffs and soiling. Good .

Return policy:
Any book may be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund of book price. Buyer responsible for return shipping. For books misdescribed, or for wrong books sent, or any other errors on our part, we will refund book price plus return cost of shipping.
