SIGNED by the author on the half-title page of the first volume. Illustrated with 414 halftones from photographs and 249 reproductions of cartoons, letters, and documents. Small rubbed spot on the spine of the fourth volume, otherwise books are sharp and clean. Fine, lacking the dustwrappers but in a Very Good example of the scarce original box with the large printed label on the top cover .
