Introduction by James Sutherland. Defoe's account of the Great Plague that hit London in 1665. Illustrated by Domenico Gnoli with 8 full-page color plates and numerous black-and-white text illustrations, some rather harrowing. Copy #894 of 2000 SIGNED by the artist on the colophon page. Monthly Letter laid in. Ill.: Domenico Gnoli. Some darkening to the spine. Near Fine in a Near Fine slipcase with some discoloration .
