Single issue of this underground newspaper embracing radical, left wing and socialist causes (with a Marxist-Leninist bent). Originating as the Temple Free Press at Temple University it evolved from a college newspaper to a radical paper under the editorship of Bill Baggins. This issue a reprint of an article by Eldridge Cleaver that originally appeared in the Black Panther, "Class Struggle or Race War;" a front page piece on a police raid of the Black Unification Society headquarters, including quotes from leaders Fred Gray and Elizabeth Biggins; an account of police violence and harassment of staff of the Philadelphia Free Press. GOOD condition. Moderate toning to the paper. Horizontal fold crease present. Small tear to the upper front cover. Good .
