A short work discussing the upcoming construction of the Hennepin Canal, suggesting that the eastern terminus at the Illinois River to be constructed first, with the terminus in the Mississippi River to be selected after consideration of surveys. The Hennepin Canal was originally conceived of in the 1830s as a way to connect the Illinois River to the Mississippi River, enabling a greater trade in commerce through more transportation options. Politics, war and other obstacles delayed its construction until the 1890s. Completed in 1907, it operated in limited capacity until the early 1950s. Shipping rates provided upon request based on the country of receipt. Wherever possible, we ship using first class international for $25.00, or the flat rate priority envelope through the US Post which costs $35.00. Return policy:
Any book may be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund of book price. Buyer responsible for return shipping. For books misdescribed, or for wrong books sent, or any other errors on our part, we will refund book price plus return cost of shipping.
