Alfredo Cucco (1893-1968) fu vicesegretario del Pnf, poi espulso dal partito dal prefetto Mori per collusione con la mafia, ma assolto e riammesso nel Pnf nel 1937; sottosegretario alla cultura durante la Rsi. (poi deputato del Msi). Interessante la sua testimonianza sulle vicende della Repubblica di Salò. Secondo l'autore, tra l'altro, Mussolini voleva giungere ad una pace separata.
