Brossura editoriale cartacea con titolo alla copertina, fragile, mancanza a un angolo e dorso spaccato. Edizione originale, rara. Pipitone-Federico (1860-1940) fu professore di Letteratura italiana presso la R. Università di Palermo. Particolarmente importante fu, nel 1883, la fondazione del giornale “Il Momento”, che fu il propulsore di un programma di propagazione del nuovo credo positivista e naturalista, sostenitore di Émile Zola e del verismo anche nella sua espressione italiana.
