Thomas Murray, 1858. Hardcover. 111p illustrated with 3 plates - a portrait and plates of his monument and Fassifern House. Blue boards have guilt coat of arms on front. Fassifern was killed a few hours before Waterloo and this eulogy was written by Rev.Archibald Clerk, minister of the parish of Kilmallie 40 years after his death. Includes some Lochaber anecdote, history and folklore, not found elsewhere. Second edition has a few corrections and some additional notes. Bookplate of Ronald MacDonald Isle of Skye on front pastedown and Charles R Cowie on verso of the fep.
