Finely bound in full black and white leather with gilt titles and cover crest closely following the original cloth pattern, black endpapers. Modern binding done by Period Binders, Bath, England with attached label. Prior ownership signature of D.H. Parry on flyleaf. "D.H. Parry 4th August, 1898." Short marginal notes/pencil corrections to the text on a few pages. Parry authored a book on the 17th Lancers in 1898. We have not been able to determine if the notes are in his hand. A fine copy. Fine/No Jacket. Signed.
