However her experiences in Calcutta made her believe it was young mothers who needed more care, but the only way to nurse them was to leave her order, and after gaining Papal dispensation, she found herself in the outside world, with only a change of clothes and little money, but an enormous taste for freedom. After a period of many new and exciting experiences in Paris, she was asked to nurse the Duke of Windsor up until his death, and some years later in London, she became Princess Diana's spiritual guide and healer, and studied acupuncture in China.
