Venn, Diggory (Editor) - Armando Reveron

Boston, Institute of Contemporary Art, Publisher, 1956. Wraps. Cream/beige colored wraps. 24 pp. With a few color and black and white plates. A short catalog for a 1956 exhibition of work by Armando Reveron, a Venezuelan painter, known for modernist works, as well as, toward the end of his life, work with dolls and other creations, which he would use as subjects for his paintings. Suffering from depression and perhaps schizophrenia, Reveron spent time in and out of hospitals, dying in 1954. This catalog provides a biographical and critical look at the artist and his work, accompanied by color and black and white illustrations, including one of his work 'The Cave.' VERY GOOD condition. Moderate browning along the extremities. Light soiling and edgewear. Interior clean and solid. Very Good .
