While 1844 is the date present on the title page and dedication page, a brief letter at the end of the work, by Eugene Sue, is dated 1845. American edition of Sue's French novel involving this figure from Christian folklore. In GOOD condition with moderate scuffing to the boards and leather, with an area of heavy scuffing to the center front cover. Leather cracking along the spine and hinges but still intact. Mostly minor bumping and scuffing to the extremities, with the leather worn at the corners. Interior solid with minor scattered foxing. Faint dampstain at the upper portion of the first few pages. Good/No Jacket.

Return policy:
