Small pamphlet with an illustrated front page. 4 pp. Cover illustration depicts a school teacher and her school children looking at an older man perhaps preparing to sign a pledge of abstinence from alcohol. Short tract issued by National Temperance Society featuring a short piece by American writer Thrace Talmon wherein school children debating and pondering whether or not they could sign the abstinence pledge, some wondering if they could no longer drink cider or smoke from a pipe. GOOD condition with some browning to the paper, minor staining to the last page and two small chips/tears along the extremities. Small crease at the upper corner. Faint pencil notation at the top of the first page. Good .

Return policy:
Any book may be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund of book price. Buyer responsible for return shipping. For books misdescribed, or for wrong books sent, or any other errors on our part, we will refund book price plus return cost of shipping.
