Emil Feodorovich Hirschfeld-Renard (1894 - 1965), better known under his stage name Emil Kio, was Russsia's most famous illusionist of the 20th century, as well as a renowned circus performer and designer of circus equipment. His father and his sons were also well-known magicians and his brother was journalist and anarchist Felix Hirschfeld. In his current book Kio wrote about the creative and complex work of illusionists, the history of the circus, and the art of the magic tricks. He also paid tribute to other world-famous names of magic, including Harry Houdini, Dante (Harry August Jansen), and others. Good .
