Ivan Ovechko (1920 - 2002) was a Ukrainian journalist, author, educator, poet, and literary critic. After escaping Ukraine during WWII, he lived and worked in Brazil, before ultimately settling in the US, where he taught Slavic languages at the University of Northern Colorado. Author of numerous books, his current work on the lives of Ukrainian emigres in Brazil was one of his earliest. Ill.: 0. Very good .
