Second, revised edition (originally published in 1917); 7 1/2 x 5; pp. [2], 5-63, [1]; pictorial, lithographed wraps; illustrated with b & w drawings and photographs; a bit of creasing to front wrap and slight pulling to paper around staples; in very good condition. After graduating the Ontario Veterinary Institute in 1892, Dr. LeGear not only treated animals, but also founded his own LeGear Medicine Co. where he produced various remedies, potions, and powders for numerous veterinary maladies. He was also the author of several books on the subject, including the current one on the science of stock-raising and the treatment of diseases, which also served as an advertisement for his patent medicines.
