Mulholland, J. W. - The Greed for Gold

S. l. (Nelson, B. C.), The Nelson Daily News Print, 1930. First Edition. First edition, n. d. (1930); 6 3/4 x 4 1/4; pp. [1], 4-16; brick-red wraps, printed and ruled in black; small chip to lower right corner of front wrap, else minor wear to tips of spine; very good condition. Subtitled: "This poem is based on actual incidents in the life of a prisoner who has spent over forty years an inmate of a Western penitentiary," the booklet contained several poems, intertwining California gold, Indians, and life in prison. The poems were, presumably, collected by J. W. Mulholland, President of the British Columbia Prospectors' Protective Association. OCLC lists one copy at McMaster University in Ontario, with none other in the trade (as of May 2019). Very good .
