Throughout the 19th century, it also served as a troopship and a prison ship. Moved to dry dock in 1922, the ship went through several major restoration periods, eventually became a museum, part of the National Historic Fleet, and since October 2012, HMS Victory has been the flagship of the First Sea Lord.
