Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. 1897. Map, Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Plans 1897. A set of 41 plans and maps bound in a large folio format, size 75 by 49 cm. On linen. The plans mainly relate to widening the railway around Halifax, Todmorden, Brighouse, Mirfield, Dewsbury, Wakefield, Entwistle, Orrell, Heywood, Huncoat and Middleton Junction. Also included are maps showing other work planned at Accrington, Radcliffe, Bury, Manchester and other places on the line. The format of each page has a detailed map at the top and centre and relevant sections below. The title page, first page and last pages are dark (presumably from use and pollution), but all the 39 others are clear and clean. Page one is loose and can be tipped back in; the title page has some edge fraying, but otherwise the general condition is Good to VG. Images available. Very Good.
