Edinburgh, Black. 1850. Book, Black's Road and Railway Travelling Map published by A & C Black Edinburgh. Engraved by Hall. On folding linen in 36 sections size 85 by 66 cm. Scale 15 miles to the inch. Colour. With inset maps of the British Isles and the Scillies. Heights are shown by hachuring or shading. A very detailed map. Folds into original stiff boards that have a decorative gold stamped cartouche containing the title topped off with an image of a locomotive on the front. Good condition though the map is rather dull and has occasional foxing to sea areas. Images available.
