In stiff cloth-covered boards size 34 by 26 cm. Gold-stamped decoration and title to front board and spine. 281 pages. Illustrated throughout with 70 tipped-in plates in colour and another 190 half-tone illustrations. Top edge gilt other edges rough-cut. With the rather attractive bookplate of York reference library to front and rear endpapers and a small blind stamp on the title page none of which detract from the elegance and style of the book. VG condition with minor rubbing to foot of spine. Images available.
