In stiff card covers and with a folding colour world map showing the important flight records achieved around the world in 1929. Contains many sepia plates including one of the US-Mexican frontier and another of the northern coast of the USSR taken from the Graf-Zeppelin on its round the world flight. Includes a photo of Jackson and O'Brien refuelling in the air whilst attempting to beat the record for a round the world flight and many other facts and figures on the achievements of the aviators of the day. There are chapters on commercial flight competitions records and on the principal planes of the day (illustrated and including technical data). VG condition but with a slight weakness to the inner front hinge. Images available.
