Lenin, N. - Proletarskaia Revoliutsiia I Renegat Kautskii

Tsentrispolkoma R.F.K.P.A, 1920. First American edition (first book published by R.F.K.P.A - Russian Faction of the Communist Party of America); original brown pebbled boards; gilt title; some rubbing mostly along edges and corners; private paper label to spine; soiling only to corners of first several pages, else clean; closed horizontal cut to p. 107 resulting in loss of last word; very good or better. Universally known as one of Lenin's rarest editions, the current book was published in a run of 1000 copies by a small group of Russian exiles in New York. Consequently, most of the copies were scrapped due to lack of interest in the book. Few copies are known to have survived, now held almost exclusively by institutions. Karl Kautsky was a Czech-German Marxist theoretician and philosopher. Lenin described him as a renegade for his attacking the Bolshevik Revolution and the Bolshevist rule in Russia. Ill.: 0. 2.
