Parisiis, Gul. Cavellat. 1556. Rilegato. Libro, [Figurato Economia-Matematica] (cm. 15) ottima mz. pergamena e pag. di messale del '500 rosso e nero, ben restaurata sec. XIX.-- cc. 96. Marca tipografica al frontis, varie figg. geometriche e schemi nel testo. E' la prima e la più popolare aritmetica del rinascimento. Apparve nel 1540. Tratta delle proporzioni, algebra, radici e unisce l' antica scienza dei numeri all' aritmetica commerciale italiana, inoltre ragiona delle propietà occulte dei numeri. La nostra edizione è aumentata dalle annotazioni di J. Peletier ed è molto rara. Manca a: Harvard, Bm. Stc. French, Smith, Libri ed Honeyman Collection. Vecchi restauro all' ultima carta con perdita di alcune parole, eliminato il nome del Melanchthon per censura. Altrimenti esemplare molto bello e nitido. Van Ortroi n° 65; Adams G 378. in ottime condizioni.
