Two very scarce work, both in Mellifont Press' 'Juvenile Series&apos.'The Happy Company' and it's sequel, 'The Further Adventures of the Happy Company', are brilliantly entertaining children's tales. Each tale is a comical romp following misbehaving children as they aggravate their elders.Each volume is illustrated with in-text illustrations.By Hylton Cleaver, a prolific author, mostly of school stories, who also was sports writer for the London 'Evening Standard&apos.Undated, both volume is dated from Jisc from a copies held at the British Library. 'The Happy Company' is dated 1934, and it's sequel 1935. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, smart, with light edge wear. Light marks to the wraps, mostly to the rear wraps, with minor discolouration. Internally, 'Further Adventures' is firmly bound, 'Happy Company' is generally firmly bound, with pages 3-30 and 99-126 are detached but present. Pages are age-toned and clean.
