My family background is in Bookselling. I started working for my parents as a Saturday Assistant at the age of 14 years in 1967. On leaving school I worked for Dillons University Bookshop in the Antiquarian and Secondhand Dept. learning Academic Bookselling in the heart of Bloomsbury now part of Waterstone's . I left Dillon in 1987 to establish Handsworth Books, freelancing for Remainder Wholesalers during the week and at weekends selling Secondhand Books at Book Fairs, such as those run by the Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association which I joined in the early 1990's.
I Buy and Sell Secondhand Academic and Scholarly Books primarily in The Humanities.

Books listed are Secondhand and unless otherwise stated - hardback; 8vo(approx. 23.5cm x 16cm) in size; in Good/Very Good condition consistent with age. Minor signatures/annotations are not normally noted. Any books considered to be mis-described may be returned within 7 days of receipt at our expense. I normally describe the condition of the cloth/hardback (i.e Good/Very Good) and then the condition of dustjacket/dust wrapper if present (i.e. Good/Very Good).
Customers will be asked to pay in advance once their order has been confirmed.
