Hall of Books is a family business specialising in the sale of second-hand books and sheet music. We sell on-line. All the books and sheet music we sell are owned by us and are in stock. We personally acquire, check, describe, photograph, pack and post every item we sell. We try to photograph every book and piece of sheet music we list and we do not rely on stock images. We have a large general selection of quality paperbacks and first edition hardbacks, as well as in-depth collections of the interesting, unusual and rare; the hard to find, collectible and out of print, across a wide range of subject areas.
All items are offered subject to prior sale.
Postage and Shipping Charges:
Up to 1kg in weight, all deliveries are by Royal Mail unless otherwise stated or requested. Over 1kg we may use a more cost-effective carrier service like myHermes. We are very happy to consider alternatives if you have any specific requests, especially when delivering abroad.
Currently we ship by 2nd Class Postage in the UK and our prices include postage, packing and handling in the UK.
Overseas orders will be sent by airmail unless otherwise requested and will be charged at cost. We use brand-new jiffy bags with additional bubble-wrap, or boxes where appropriate.
Methods of payment accepted:
Currently, we accept payment through PayPal. This includes: Mastercard, Visa, American Express.
Alternatively, Sterling Cheques can be sent by prior arrangement.
We will ship goods as soon as funds are cleared.
Returns Policy:
We make every effort to describe and photograph our books as accurately as we can and to package them securely. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for whatever reason, we have a no-quibble returns policy. You can return the item to us for for a full refund by letting us know, within 7 days of your order, that the item is being returned and why. If we can't sort things out, return the item to us within 14 days (packaged securely) and we'll refund your money once the item is back with us.
