With a well-organized collection of over 38,000 used, out-of-print, and rare books, ABCD BOOKS has been a destination for readers, collectors, and dealers since 1962. Located in the heart of Camden, Maine, nestled between the mountains and the sea, ABCD is one of the last large "general bookstores," with edited collections in maritime, art, American history, cooking, gardening, poetry, 19th Centure prose, Maine, and childrens. A Special Collections Room houses first modern editions, childrens illustrated books, and fine leather bindings. We have a Search Department as well as an E-Commerce department, with appraisals and collection development also available.
Orders usually ship within 2 business days.
Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 pounds or 1 KG. If your book is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra postage is required.
Regular rates are:
Media Mail within the US: $5.00
Priority Mail within the US: $8.00
International Priority: $14.00
Insurance is recommended for books costing more than $50.00.
Libraries invoiced.
For Maine residents, 5% sales tax will be added.
