Si tratta della causa per le volont! testamentarie dell'importante mercante di Roma Giuseppe Volpato che possedeva una bottega di arte calcografica di terraglie e maioliche, il primo mercante come importanza del settore. Nel testamento egli nomina usufruttuaria la moglie Maddalena Riggi la quale in cambio doveva crescere i figli.
